The Nights is one of the most hits songs on Avicii’s second album ‘Stories’. Originally this song was called “My Father Told Me” that written and sung by Nicolas Furlong, and produced by Avicii. He was inspired by the words of his father when he was a child, and he began to write this song as an ode to his father. Briefly, this song contains messages that life is not just for pursuing materials, live a meaningful life that you will always remember. There are some interesting lyrics that need to be analyzed from this song, they are:

“The animals inside came out to play”

This means when someone was younger the more wild and more energetic to get out, and he talks things about the adventurous mind the younger people have.

“When you’ll get older, your wildlife would live for younger days”

While you are young, try to explore yourself, try to do plenty of new and challenging things. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, go and live your life everyone can do it.

He said, “One day you’ll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember.”

He talks about that being inert and living a normal life is not fun. Life is once, to live means that we should make the most of it, and never stop. You need to put your mind to it, so you can travel and see all the amazing things the world has offered. One day you will die, live a life you will remember.

“These are the Nights that never die”

These nights and what had happened in your life will always be memories and stay in your head for stories to tell “they will never die”.

This song really fits with the youngers who start their journey in finding their identity, wondering about how their life will be, and how they have to live their life. They might find the answer through the lyrics of this song.
